Car window tinting is not just about the look. A proper window tint cuts the glare that hits your eyes on sunny afternoons on the 40, keeps the leather and dash from cracking under UV, and makes the cabin noticeably cooler in July. If you have kids in the back, the difference is obvious. No more squinting, no more burning-hot seatbelt buckles.
Most of our installs use dyed tint for a clean, dark look at a fair price. Dyed film blocks light and gives you privacy, and it is the right call for a lot of daily drivers. If you want real heat rejection, ceramic tint is the upgrade. Ceramic film uses microscopic particles to block infrared heat without needing to be pitch black, so you can run a lighter shade on the front windows and still feel the difference when you open the door.
Quebec tint law matters here. The front side windows, driver and passenger, must let in at least 70 percent of light. That is the legal limit, and we do not go darker on the front. The rear side windows and the back glass can go as dark as you like, down to a 5 percent limo shade. We will lay out the options, show you what each level looks like, and make sure the finished job is legal before you drive off.
A windshield tint strip is a small addition that makes a big difference. It is a band of tint across the top of the front glass that cuts the sun glare when you are driving into a low sunset. It stays within the legal area above the AS-1 line, so it does not affect your view. A lot of our customers add it on top of a full tint job just for the comfort.
