Débosselage sans peinture (DSP)
Le débosselage sans peinture, c'est ainsi qu'on sort une bosse sans jamais toucher à la peinture. Un technicien atteint l'arrière du panneau avec des outils spécialement formés et masse lentement le métal pour le ramener à sa forme d'origine de l'intérieur. Pas de mastic, pas de ponçage, pas de repeinte.
Le DSP fonctionne mieux sur les bosses lisses et peu profondes où la peinture est encore intacte. Les bosses de portière, les bosses de stationnement et les petits impacts de grêle sont les candidats parfaits. C'est rapide et ça garde votre finition d'usine, ce qui compte pour la valeur de revente.
Ça ne fonctionne pas sur tout. Une pliure marquée, de la peinture fissurée ou une bosse directement sur le bord d'un panneau nécessite habituellement de la peinture. On vous dira franchement laquelle est la vôtre avant de commencer.
Quand une bosse nécessite de la peinture
Certaines bosses franchissent la ligne où le débosselage sans peinture ne donnera pas un résultat propre. Si le métal est plié nettement, le vernis est fissuré, ou la bosse est sur une ligne de carrosserie ou le bord d'un panneau, la finition doit être réparée et repeinte.
C'est un travail plus important, mais ce n'est pas non plus toute une histoire de carrosserie. On répare la bosse, on effiloche la peinture endommagée, on assortit à votre code d'usine, et on repeint juste le panneau touché. Le reste de votre voiture reste intact.
Le choix honnête, c'est ce qu'on fait. Si le DSP fonctionne et vous économise de l'argent, on le dit. Si ça demande de la peinture, on vous dit pourquoi et on vous montre la différence.
Retouche vs peinture complète
Une retouche remplit un éclat ou une égratignure avec de la peinture assortie pour qu'elle se fonde et empêche la rouille de commencer. Ça ne paraîtra pas neuf sous une loupe, mais à distance normale ça disparaît. Pour les éclats de roches sur un capot ou une portière rayée, une retouche est la réparation intelligente et honnête.
Une repeinte complète du panneau est le bon choix quand le dommage est trop grand ou trop visible pour une retouche. Les rayures profondes à travers un panneau entier, le vernis fané, ou une réparation qui demande du travail de carrosserie en dessous appellent une vraie repeinte et un vernis.
Les stylos retouche bon marché d'une tablette de pharmacie n'assortissent jamais votre peinture et paraissent toujours erronés au soleil. On mélange à votre code d'usine pour que la réparation soit plate et se lise proprement.
